Every time one of these girls turns the corner I get a boner.  And I’m not even into women.

Only like the hottest, most innovative designers in America right now (sorry Marc Jacobs, we still love you), Proeza Schouler didn’t fail to impress with yet another stunning collection at New York fashion week.  While this may be old news by now, I had to post about the latest and greatest from some of the most future-thinking designers in fashion.

As Kerry Diamond of Lancome so eloquently puts it, with Proenza you ”always think you’re seeing the future even when they reference something from the past”.

If you love the 80s you’ll love Proenza (and really, who doesn’t love the 80s, mmhmm).

What do Pluto, Visa, Kirsten Dunst, and Obama all have in common? They’re all subjects of fashion wizardry from French designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac’s S/S 09 collection:

These graphic shift dresses epitomize the purrfect ’statement piece’. I’d only push it as far as the Koons Is My Kunst! mini, but would take my hat off to the gal who could really rock the others. Especially the hairy Dunst-avec-tiara. Meow. That one is seriously intense.

What made this show even more ridiculously fabulous? Well, it was the latest catwalk to get Bruno’d.

Defn. Bruno’d: A runway show that has been bombarded by Bruno.

Defn. Bruno: The Austrian model/fashionista character, played by Sasha Baron Cohen, who is the star of Cohen’s latest film, Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Male, a mockumentray on the fashion industry.

He’s apparently stormed onto two runways (and caused havoc backstage) before Castelbajacs; Stella McCartney in Paris and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada in Milan. Now, I really truly honestly did not fancy Borat one bit – because I have a lame sense-o-humor, or something like that – but I gotsta say that I’m already giving this creation a big “hells yeah”. Can’t wait.
